5 tablespoons almond milk, or as needed

4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

2 tablespoons agave nectar

2 tablespoons peanut butter

1 teaspoon almond extract

Directions

Place a steamer insert into a saucepan and fill with water to just below the bottom of the steamer. Bring water to a boil. Add sweet potato, cover, and steam until tender, 25 to 30 minutes. Remove and allow to cool. Peel and cut into chunks.

Combine sweet potato, almond milk, cocoa powder, agave nectar, peanut butter, and almond extract in a blender; blend until smooth. Add more almond milk if mixture is too thick. Serve immediately.

You can use any kind of non-dairy milk. Vanilla-flavored soy milk tastes great as well.
